WE STILL HOLD THESE TRUTHS
Rediscovering Our Principles, Reclaiming Our Future
A presentation by Michael Pochek

Based on a book by Matthew Spalding, of The Heritage Foundation

The main focus of this session will be the revolutionary turn the colonist took as a result of the more tyrannical British rule had paved the way for the greatest expression of the Laws of Nature in government. These laws formed the basis of equal rights; the Declaration was defense of those rights. Slavery, at its core, was an unnatural expression of the laws of nature - the American Truths could not tolerate it. The practice of government only lent itself to the instilment to the consent of the governed. These truths were not revolting ideas, they were the recognition of the laws of Nature's God.

Suggested Reading:  Chapter 2
